Mark your calendars - French House is starting a Banned Books Club in honor of the nationwide banned books holiday during the last week in September! We are reading The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, which was banned in the US and several European countries during the Red Scare. We will be meeting for a dicussion led by Marxist economy professor Harry Cleaver on Sunday, September 30 at 2pm at French House. We would like to invite all of ICC to join our Banned Books club - run down to Book People or Half Price this week and get started reading your copy! Please come no matter if you've read all of it, five pages of it, or if you read it years ago! The Communist Manifesto is only about 60 pages long, so it's manageable to read in addition to your school stuff - besides, how often have you told yourself that you want to read a book for fun during the semester?

We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday to discuss this work - the ideas in it are the basis for the co-ops that we live in! Have a fantastic week!
